Community & Youth Programs

"WATER IS LIFE" ANNUAL ART CONTEST

Each year in spring the Upper District sponsors an annual art contest that encourages youth to express the value of water through their artwork. A picture can be worth a thousand words when trying to convey how precious water really is to our lives. Students remind us through art to consider how we use water today and to think about whether there will be water available for their future.

Artwork entries are divided into FOUR (4) categories:

• K - 2nd Grade
• 3rd - 5th Grade
• 6th - 8th Grade
• 9th - 12th Grade

Contest announcements and rules are sent out each year to eligible schools. Entries must be submitted through a school that is within the Upper District boundaries. Each school is allowed to submit a maximum of five (5) artwork entries per category.
